With a background in newspaper marketing, non-profit publications and trade magazines, I bring years of experience and proven results to your communications project.
My specialty is adapting my writing style to each client's needs based on your goals, the subject matter, audience and format. Taking a thoughtful approach to every project, I’ll apply keen listening and research skills before I put pen to paper (er, fingers to keyboard).
Over the years I’ve been on staff at the Houston Chronicle (Specialist Copywriter, Marketing), the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Senior Director, Publications) and Lebhar-Friedman, Inc. (Associate Editor, Apparel Merchandising magazine). Prior to that while completing college, I tested the publishing waters, so to speak, at firms that produced media planning guides and journals for electrical engineers.
I've served as a proofreader, marketing copywriter and feature writer, desk editor, editor-in-chief and publications director. And that means I’ve been a researcher, interviewer, spell checker (before and after the dawn of the Digital Age) and grammarian, an image enhancer and branding enforcer, a script writer, speech writer, letter writer - even a poet - in the interests of information dissemination and stellar communication.
